Taurus Full Moon 10/31- The eye of the storm

  • by

Halloween is one of my very favorite Holidays. Perhaps, it echoes my North Node in the 8th house or my love of depth psychology, but shadowy places hold wisdom. This time of year, we can celebrate the veil thinning between the seen and unseen, the known and perhaps unknown. Of course, the intent is not to avoid or deny what might yet haunt us but to venture further in. To find the treasure of the buried self. To reclaim. To integrate. To heal. Because it is only when we are whole, can we do the absolute best kind of magic.

This Full Moon celebrates this kind of transformation. The Taurus Moon is lit by the Scorpio Sun, illuminating once dark places. Bringing our shadow to the light of truth. Of course, this isn’t always pleasant. Seeing what we have tried to hide rarely is. But it is needed. Especially now. Themes of value, esteem, and worthiness are certainly being highlighted currently. We are being asked to evaluate what is important in our lives. What is truly of value.

 And what isn’t.

Hard times have a way of crystallizing truth, after all. Shadow walks are the way to wisdom.

This is the 2nd Full Moon in the Month- which is significant, of course. When astrology repeats themes, it gives us an extra chance to get it right. There is no accident in that. Uranus, the great awakener, stands with this Moon shaking the last of the foundations that are no longer working. So, we can expect shocking news and events that reveal inconvenient but necessary truths in both our inner and outer lives. Uranus rules things like science and technical honesty, which often challenge the status quo. I anticipate earthquakes, literal and figurative, to rouse us from the habit of our current perspective. One that is collaborative and sees the rights of all, not the few. You see, Uranus reminds us, the delicate balance of this thing we call humanity is not just moral but scientific. Without cooperation with each other and the Earth itself, we will cease to exist. This time will be shedding some light on that.

Which brings us to the US election. Many of you have reached out to me regarding my predictions. I am not going to publicly read the chart of either candidate, as it would be a blog in itself. Certainly, both charts reveal a deep synchronicity and timing for this pivotal moment in history. What I can say is this. Astrology offers us the most optimum path between two points. It shows us the guiding light forward. It reveals the path of highest destiny.

But we always have a choice.

We can choose to take that path…or not.

If you have read my blog the last few years, you are noticeably clear on the road we are meant to walk based on this time’s astrology. In short, more empathy and less selfishness. More cooperation and less division. More service and less greed. More humility and less arrogance. More feminine genius and less toxic patriarchy. Words like integrity, honesty, principle, and respect come to mind, as well as facts, data, science, and technical truths. Those last three will become even more critical as we enter 2021. Stay tuned for that.

Do keep in mind Mercury is retrograde and will station direct on November 3rd- election day. It will also directly square Saturn in Capricorn. So, we could expect some delays and increased tension around this election. We also need to remember those Capricorn planets, especially Saturn and Pluto, are innately karmic. Meaning, we may need to stand back and let the correction unfold. Because it will. One way or another.

With this Full Moon offering its Taurus light, patience will be key, and choosing both your words and actions carefully. Taurus is the most resilient and steadfast of any sign. So, call upon this force in you to find a sense of peace in what is sure to be somewhat chaotic.

And peace is a practice. Taurus reminds us of that. The sign most associated with the grace of nature itself, Taurus reminds us calm is not an absence of discord but the ability to find the stillness within it.

To find the eye despite the storm.

Presence.

Breath.

Simplicity.

Trust.

A cloud does not put out the sun.

“Those who contemplate the beauty of the Earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature — the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter.”

~ Rachel Carson, Silent Spring
