Aquarius New Moon 2/9/24-You can’t unsee it.

  • by

I suspect that life has recently offered you some technical truth detonations. Some things you can’t unsee. Technical truths are the kind of truths that get our attention, rousing us from any dormancy. Thus, they are often not of the “easy” variety. The good news is anything arising is offering massive potential. The challenging news is it will require some change, some old and new colliding, which is hard. Because where we are standing may not be optimal, yet parts of us would choose familiarity over the uncertainty of bucking the status quo any day.

Spoiler alert- that’s not going to work anymore. Collectively and personally, technical truth is going to meet us one way or another.

Before I go too much further, let me clarify the specific type of truth we are marinating in because it is easy to misconstrue. We are not navigating personal truth, which is based on your family of origin, history, ideas, and opinions based on your personal history. That kind of truth is essential, of course, but it only allows a view of facts from the files of our personal experience. We are also not navigating the terrain of relative truth, which is the truth from where you are currently standing. Your relative truth may mean it is raining where you are standing, and it may be dry in my world. While at times helpful, anecdotes and correlations do not result in the technicality of causation. We are also not in the terrain of moral or religious truth, which is steeped in doctrine and adopted values. Again, there is a time for that type of truth, but this time is not it. Instead, we are living big T technical truth. The kind that does not have “another “side. It isn’t emotional (though it can rouse some deep emotions).

It just is.

This New Moon echoes the Aquarian waves, so evident in our current time. Cause and effect. Actions and consequences. Uranus squaring this New Moon reminds us technicality is not subtle. Technical truth isn’t meant to be because the intent is to get our attention. Collectively, think climate changes, viruses, challenges to survival-basically slaps of reality that force us to pay attention to things we’d rather not see.

Because it is what this kind of truth is all about. It is a wake-up call to innovate. To grow. To do things a better way. It is about offering new facts and then making new choices. The line in the sand is drawn so you can choose a new path. It is not a punishment. It is an invitation.

Done well, and we find ourselves altering our vision based on new data and adopting newly expanded options. We choose accountability, humility, and the gratitude of new possibilities. This is the birthplace and promise of real freedom. It is the root of hope, cooperation and collaboration realizing we all need to work together to solve the current complexities. The high side of Aquarius lives in the wonder and awe of literal shocking revelations of grace. Afterall, miracles only occur in the unexpected.

Done less well, and we meet the intensity of resistance our shadow righteousness getting in the way of real liberation. We check-out, blame and deny, exiling ourselves in our disappointment. Without the light of truth, fear becomes our driving force and the illusion of control our weapon. We polarize and go to war, our self-righteousness becoming riotous.

So, this is the choice point we currently face as we venture into two and a half decades with Pluto in Aquarius. The choice between really seeing what is or choosing not to.

So, at this New Moon be willing to see. Be willing to get technical and fact check where you are standing. Assess where you got it right and where you are being asked to innovate and improve. Because that is the first step to changing anything. Before any improvement or transformation can occur, individuals, communities, or societies must confront and acknowledge the existing issues and choices that got us where we are. We cannot change what we cannot acknowledge.
