This Leo Full Moon Eclipse is an auspicious one, ripe with the heat of expression. All eclipses are of course. They represent ending and subsequent beginnings, reboots, choice points, and times of expanded potential. This eclipse is reminiscent of the Total Solar Eclipse last August, continuing the heart opening and expansive connection to authenticity, love, and truth we have all been feeling.
The fire has been lit.
Time to feed the flame.
Stoking this fire, the dwarf planet Ceres joins the party, sharing the light of the Leo Full Moon. Ceres denotes the balance of the fierce feminine in our lives. After all, she made a deal with Pluto himself to save her daughter from the fiery pits of Hades. There is no more powerful force than that of a mother protecting her child. The kind of feminine power that lies dormant and quiet until threatened. Then it holds all of existence in its hand. She is creation itself.
It is no wonder throughout time this force has been historically shamed, captured, renounced, manipulated, and controlled.
No more.
If there is one theme that will run through 2018, it will be a call back to the divine feminine force in our lives. Sometimes that will look like nurturing and compassionate empathy. Other times it will be fiercely decisive and assertive. Collectively, we have already seen the stirrings of feminine sovereignty with the “me too” movement, the outing of sexual misconduct within Hollywood, Oprah Winfrey’s Gold Globe Speech, record-breaking women’s marches around the country, a marked increase in women running for political office…and the year is just beginning.
Additionally, we have seen what happens when masculine and feminine forces become imbalanced, corrupted, and sown through fear, not truth. We have laws without empathy, leaders without integrity, and logic without heart. We have ineptitude. We have silence.
Yet, Nature always has a way of re-calibrating itself.
This eclipse we have fire meeting feminine force.
It is time to take power back.
It is time reclaim the fire of truth lodged deeply in your heart yearning to rise to a flame.
It is time to harness authentic creativity, grace, empathy, and truth. All the embers that make you uniquely shine.
Where is your light aching to escape?
Without a story of fear, what is your heart’s true desire?

And friends, our trains are soaring down the rails. Time is whirling by. We choose a direction with every choice we make. This is not done by merely plotting a course in our heads but aligning the intention with real action. It is not the thinking but the doing that makes it so.
No doubt, there are choice points arising where
you can hide or choose to shine,
to acquiesce or lead,
to cower or to fight,
to be silent or let your voice roar like the Lion that Leo represents.
I say Roar.
Live.
Dance.
Sing.
Paint.
Rise.
Be.
Be exactly who you were always meant to be- before the silence set in.
Shine. Because when you do, you inspire others to do the same.
