Ahh.
Take a deep breath and pause. Exhale. Taurus is here.
Taurus, always opposite the depth and intensity of Scorpio, reminds us it is equally important to stay on the surface, enjoy the view, watch the sunrise or set.
In other words, find simple moments of grace and simplicity.
After all, we finish significant achievements only by weaving together a million micro-moments. Careful and plodding, Taurus reminds us the journey is as important as the destination, the means imperative to the goal.
Do not be surprised if the area of your life this New Moon resides in (look for the house) requires a needed pause. Forced or chosen, pauses remind us the exhale is as essential as the inhale, rest as critical as hustle. Pauses are needed times of assessment, recovery, and rebuilding which open the door to more creativity, clarity, and passion.
For all this talk of peace though, we cannot get away from the depth work so prevalent right now. This New Moon does bring some respite (the New Moon trines the South Node, Saturn, widely Pluto in Capricorn) to all the heavy lifting of late.
But it also means we must consciously slow down.
This can be a challenge in our busy word of doing, schedules, and lack mentality (all the shadow of Taurus). Taurus shines most brightly when it is merely being. This practice changes our lives in profound ways.
Mindfulness means we are simply in the now. No past. No future.
Here, at this moment.
Then at this moment.
Then at this one.
This is not a place to fix, but to observe. We allow thoughts, sensations, and feelings to be present as well. Life just is. We simply allow it.
Presence is not about escaping reality but immersing ourselves in it even more fully.
This isn’t about simply carving out moments of presence at the end of a yoga class, though every bit helps. It is about practicing being present throughout the day regardless of the noise and busyness. Simple habits can become extraordinary when we show up with our whole selves.
Think Taurus the bull sitting silently in the grass watching the day go by.
Patient.
Allowing.
Trusting.
Presence places us in a position where we can become curious about our experience. Where we allow the road to rise to meet us, where synchronicities remind us, and where our guidance squad can lead us.
Then our actions can become an extension of this energy.
“The real meditation is how you live your life.”~ Jon Kabat- Zinn
This New Moon reminds us we all need to be more here now.
What brings you to that place?
Perhaps you need to laugh more, go on long walks, get out in nature, paint, dance, or set some required boundaries.
Do more of that.
What time is it? Now.
Where am I? Here.
