During a New Moon, the Sun and Moon are in the same sign, concentrating the energy at play. It is as if our heart (moon) is in alignment with our truth (Sun). It describes that magic space of possibility and potential, as the old passes away and the new is not yet here. New Moons connect endings and beginnings and represent the start of a new cycle. It is a time of pause, reflection and a time to set powerful new intentions for the future.
This new moon awakens the Leo energy in all of us (a nice respite after the heaviness of late). Leo represents creativity, spontaneity, levity and most importantly JOY. It is time to assess, observe, embrace and expand the joy in our lives.
Where does joy flow freely in your life?
Where is joy blocked?
Because joy may not be as easy to claim as we think. It can be an elusive energy, lying dormant in the shadows of our vulnerability.
The truth is we must do as much work on our joy as we do on our pain. In light of that truth, I offer an article I wrote for Best Kept Self on that very topic.
Get ready to expand your capacity for Joy.
